There are fine shopping malls all over the Valley of the Sun. Some are more traditional malls, some are outlet malls, and some are more specialty store oriented. Following is profile of Biltmore Fashion Park and Desert Ridge Market Place with directions and special features of these two places.
Number of stores at Biltmore Fashion Park:
Biltmore Fashion Park is located between 24th and 26th Streets on Camelback Road.
This isn't an indoor mall, but rather is an upscale, outdoor boutique-type mall. You won't find Sears or Radio Shack here. There are more than 70 shops at Biltmore Fashion Park, organized into a cosmopolitan feeling area where you are walk through gardens and fountains on brick walkways to luxury shops.

Saks and Macy's are the anchors.
Favorite stores at Biltmore Fashion Park:
Bebe, Chico's, Tommy Bahamas, The Clotherie, Ralph Lauren, Sharper Image, Border's Books, Williams-Sonoma, Three Dog Bakery, Cartier.
Restaurants at the Biltmore Fashion Park:
Christopher’s Fermier Brasserie and Paola’s Wine Bar, the Bamboo Club and Steamers Genuine Seafood have been there a long time. California Pizza Kitchen and Cheesecake Factory are always busy.
Worth mentioning:
Foreign currency exchange is available at this mall. Biltmore Fashion Park closes earlier than traditional malls. Check the hours before you go. There is no mall-type food court here.

Across Camelback Road you'll find the Camelback Esplanade, with more upscale eateries like Franco's and Houston's, and the AMC Esplanade 14 movie theaters. Camelback Mountain, the Piewstewa Peak Recreation Area and the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa are nearby.

Number of stores at the Desert Ridge Marketplace: 
Desert Ridge Marketplace is located in Phoenix, Arizona just north of the Loop 101 on Tatum Boulevard. Here's a map to Desert Ridge Marketplace.
There are about 75 stores and 30 restaurants. The center of Desert Ridge Marketplace, The District, is an open air, shaded mall-type environment. In the District you'll find the core of the entertainment, restaurants, and many stores that cater to the younger crowd. Traditional strip-type outdoor stores make up the perimeter of Desert Ridge.

Barnes & Noble, Kohl’s, Target Greatland, Ultimate Electronics and Marshall's are the larger stores.

Malee’s Thai Bistro, Fatburger, Rock Bottom Brewery, Salute Italian Ristorante, Fat Tuesday, Grilled Expedition, Islands Fine Burgers & Drinks, The Keg, Macaroni Grill, TGI Fridays, The Office Restaurant and Bar, On the Border, Bamboo Club, Rubio's Baja Grill, Yardhouse. There are also some fast food offerings.
Worth mentioning:
The District is the entertainment center of Desert Ridge. AMC has 18 movie theater screens, a rock-climbing wall, a bowling alley, a dance lounge and Jillian’s. There's a free toddler play area.
Friday and Saturday nights you can enjoy free music by local musicians at the AMC Fountain and The District Stage.
On Fridays and Saturdays people under 16 must be chaperoned and in the presence of an adult (18 or over) after 6 p.m.
Desert Ridge is very spread out, so you might be doing a lot of walking, or moving your car to get to the stores you are interested in.

The JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa is right next door, with even more fine dining choices. Hop on the 101 and you are in north Scottsdale in a few minutes.
